Alicante
Alicante is the provincial capital of the Costa Blanca and is a place few people actually stop to have a look around. The bustling city offers a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants with interesting buildinds and architecture. The city has excellent tourist facilities as well as palm lined avenues , good sandy beaches, tranquill parks and the main areas airport.
Santa Pola
The historic traditional Spanish fishing town of Santa Pola lies just below the city of Alicante and has a mixture of lovely sandy beaches, that are less populated than some, and a working fishing port which features heavily in the local tapas bars and restaurants. You can catch a ferry from the port to the island of Tabarca which is car free.
Guardamar
This small town is over looked by the 13th century castle has some of the best golden sandy beaches in the area and also has pine covered sand dunes which back on to the beaches giving idyllic picnic and shaded areas for escaping from the heat of the almost year round sun.
Torrevieja
Torrevieja is a popular holiday resort with wide tree lined streets. Europes largest salt flats that have been designated natural parks and the climate combine to make this one of the healthiest places in the world to live with many sports and activities catered for.
